History

I have a lifelong interest in home-made food and a particular passion since leaving home has been making bread by hand. Throughout my career in adult and paediatric nursing, I continued developing my bread-making and other cooking skills.

Four years of study in my early 40’s led to a Masters in Anthropology, with my final dissertation being on whether hand bread-making is a way of life.

I am interested in the sharing of food, where friends and families enjoy memorable flavours.

It is this which inspires me to learn recipes from around the world.

My first public food was making my wedding cake and over the years I have catered for anniversary parties, wedding receptions and fund-raising events.
